Thailand is such an amazing place, for those have never been it should be high on the list. The unique thing about Thailand is that it really offers a lot. From some of the most gorgeous pristine white sand beaches, crystal clear water all the way to exotic animals and a past steeped in ancient kingdoms.
Stepping off the plane, I had no idea what to expect. The days before I had not bothered to prepare, mentally or physically. None of the typical research one does before embarking on an adventure the entire way across the globe. I spent the hours before my flight on a mountain bike ride that turned into a death march. Deep snow and downed trees saw us trudging through pitch darkness to reach home, an 8 hour ride ticking past the 15 hour mark. With the exhaustion and confusion from this (mis) adventure slightly clouding my judgement, I prepared to leave. I’ll spare you on the details, however in order to catch my plane I had to pack up all my life’s belongings, stick them in storage drive across the state of Colorado and naviage my way onto a China Airlines flight to the other side of the world.
