Belmont Stakes, weekend fun with hats and horses
Horse Racing in beautiful New York!
This weekend Jordan and I attended the fabled third race of the Triple Crown of horse racing! The 148th Belmont Stakes horse is held in Elmont, New York (the name fooled me also!), near JFK International Airport at the Belmont Race Track.
Horse racing has a long and colorful history and unlike many other sporting events, has a stunning dress code attached with the race. Jordan and I were lucky enough to visit family over the weekend and also take them to the race with us! Attending this race was a dream come true for Jordan. Growing up, she attended Horse Races with her family and always hoped that someday she would get the chance to go to the Belmont Stakes. The day was filled with more fun and laughter than should be allowed. Although a Triple Crown was not won, it was an incredible race and a wonderful day spent with family and friends!
