New Mexico, known as the Land of Enchantment has so much to offer. Santa Fe is at the center of New Mexico’s history, culture,
and beautiful scenery. Located just 45 minutes from Albuquerque International Airport, Santa Fe is very easy to get to! Santa Fe has multiple 4 and 5 star hotels which also happen to be pet friendly, which we love! Some of our favorite pet friendly hotels are: Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado, Rosewood Inn Of the Anasazi, La Posada De Santa Fe, and The Inn of the Five Graces. Your furry friend will feel right at home at either of these wonderful resorts!
Fun Facts:
-Santa Fe’s historical district covers over 20% of the entire town!
-There are 6000 structures in the historic district.
-The Palace of Governors has been declared a National Treasure
-San Miguel Mission is the oldest church in the United States, built in 1610.
There are so many wonderful things to see in Santa Fe, it is hard to list them all! One of my absolute favorites is the Santa Fe Indian Market and Spanish Market. The Santa Fe Indian Market brings together some of the most gifted Native American artists from the U.S. with millions of visitors and collectors from around the world. At the Spanish Market, you have the opportunity to experience the traditional and contemporary Spanish Colonial arts and culture. There are several hundred artists selling santos and bultos, handmade furniture, colcha, jewelry, and weavings. The market is held on the Santa Fe Plaza and includes food, live music and dance performances, book signings and more.
Everyday of the week, you can find Native American’s in the town square selling and displaying their crafts. You can find jewelry, art work, clothing, pottery, and more. It is a truly wonderful experience!
